Take those practice exams!

I was cleaning out my closet today and found one of my test taking strategies that I used when taking practices tests (and the actually exam tbh) and I wanted to share with yโ€™all!

Clinical simulations were my strongest area, so I knew 15 mins for this was good for me and then I gave myself a longer break here because this section really fatigues my brain out ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ˜…

โœจpro tip: take a practice test without studying and without giving yourself the 4 hour time limit to get a baseline for yourselfโœจ

Ok now the multiple choice section:

There are 170 MC questions that I divided into 5 sections so that I was being intentional about taking BREAKS during the exam and not getting burnt out (because a four hour test is a longggg time)

The times you see are roughly the amount of time it took me to complete about 33 questions and youโ€™ll notice that sometimes it took me longer and thatโ€™s ok!

This little guide I made for practice tests allowed me to give myself a chance to not feel rushed and to play around with giving myself extra time in the CS vs MC questions.

Studying for boards can feel like a brick of stress thrown at you, but taking the exam doesnโ€™t have to be. I highly recommend building in breaks to allow yourself to reset and be revived for the next section of questions ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
